Building Classic Beauty with Modern Appeal

A really great boat designer is one that can build both functional and beautiful boats. Some of my favorite designers are William Hand, Albert Strange and Olin Stephens. I see their work as a combination of both form and function.

I refer to their work as inspiration for my own designs. Reproducing a new boat from a classic design is not only a great education but also an ideal way for me to continue building classic beauty with modern appeal.

I draw and design boats myself so aesthetically I refer to vintage styles for inspiration because often the creative features on modern boats are sacrificed for amenities and cost-reduction. 

Today, it seems so many boat designers are pushing the performance aspect and sacrificing the aesthetics. My designs focus on both areas – ensuring the boats I build offer timeless classic beauty with modern appeal.
